Simple Things

First off I have to apologize for my delay in posts.  Seems life caught up and somethings had to go on the back burner.  Between my husband having open heart surgery, spring cleaning, new animal babies, farmers market starting and my mondaine daily jobs there hasn’t been time to blog let alone get crafts done!  I know we are all busy but having your spouse home for 12 weeks underfoot and not feeling the best can become a bit daunting.

Meet our newest edition to our little hobby farm.  This is Squirt a spunky 4 week holstein steer.  He is so sweet and friendly, and our dog loves to play with him.    I enjoy watching him romp around in the play yard he has and how he interacts with the hens.  I have been nursing one with a broken leg, amazing what a popsicle stick and gauze can do.  Simple tricks you learn over the years.

Have you viewed the new catalog yet?  If you would like one just let me know and I will get it out to you.  I have really been working with the stamparatus so I can demo it to all my customers.  In doing that I struggled with getting the magnets picked up off the stamparatus.  A trick I picked up on with the magnets is to wrap washi tape around them to leave a tail.  That makes it so much easier to pick up and less chance of the the two getting too close together.  To see how I did it, look at these photos:

Hopefully that makes sense.  Once I saw this I was like how simple is that!

I hope you will have time to do something creative this week.  Enjoy the weather it is suppose to be gorgeous here!  Amanda

New product!

Yesterday I decided to ignore the fact that Old Man Winter was showing his face again!  He is like the one relative you don’t want around and he keeps showing up.  I am grateful we only got 3.5 inches vs. the 8 they were predicting.  I am sure my daffodils will never bloom this spring, but today the sun is out and it is around 40 degrees out so most of the snow will be gone by Saturday when it is to be in the mid 60’s!  Now I pray it will be at least 7 months before we see “him” again.

I played with my blends and the new “stained glass vellum” paper that is coming out in the new catalog.  This paper is so easy to work with and the stamp set that goes along with it is just as great.  I think these make perfect sympathy cards.

The best part is the blends color lifter picks up any color that comes out of the lines, giving you a very clean image.

Just a reminder that the “Last Chance” items are selling out very quickly!  If there is something you want, I suggest you order it now or you may not get it.  You can go to my online store at:  All Wrapped Up with Ink

Have a great day everyone and Think Spring!
